1st Grade Addition and Subtraction Word Problems

These materials meet the 1.OA.1 CCSS standard and were created to be a follow-up activity after the initial instruction on the tens frame is presented. The use of the tens frame is not required. These word problems could be used alongside the Stamp Game or Bead Frame as well. This set can be used as a Montessori shelf-work, as a small-group center work, or as a homework assignment.

This set contains:

-16 task cards

-A student recording sheet

-An answer key

-2 tens frames

-Apple-themed counters for the tens frames

If using this in classroom setting, I recommend printing the cards on cardstock, cutting them out, and laminating them.
